An affiliate program is only useful if potential advocates know about it. Once you have your program in place, the next step is to make it easily discoverable. The first place influencers look is your website or during a shopping flow. Therefore it is important to include a link on your website for easy discovery.
Link to your affiliate landing page from Shopify
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to add your affiliate program link to your Shopify site.
- Log into Shopify
- Click Online store > Themes (from left nav)
- Click Customize button
- Click Footer (in the left nav)
- Click the section where you want to add the link (probably "MORE LINKS")
- Click Footer Menu in the left nav. This should open a new tab/window.
- Under Menu Items, click +Add menu item
- For Name, you can use "Affiliate Program, Ambassador Program, Join our Affiliate Community, Referral Program"
- For the link, paste in the link for your landing page. It can be found at the bottom of your Settings page.
Remove links to other sites
To avoid confusion, if you have older or other programs linked on your website you should remove them or have those links point to the same landing page above. If you have multiple affiliate programs, e.g. Shareasale and you want to keep that program for media, some of Audenticity's retailers keep those other programs but don’t link to them from their footer.
